Running Club is a voluntary activity that the students at Westwood Elementary can participate in every Tuesday and Thursday during their recess. Students can come out to run one lap or until their recess time (15 mins) is over; it’s all their choice. Five times around the track equals 1 mile and for every 5 miles the students will earn ribbons. One of the best parts of Running Club is watching the students year after year run faster and achieve more miles than the previous. Running club is a non-competitive way for the students to achieve personal goals.
For the 2021-22 school year we will be running around the earth as a team! A student average of 3 laps each running club day will get us there!
