Running Club is a voluntary activity that the students at Westwood Elementary can participate in every Tuesday and Thursday during their recess. Students can come out to run one lap or until their recess time (15 mins) is over; it’s all their choice. Five times around the track equals 1 mile and for every 5 miles the students will earn ribbons. One of the best parts of Running Club is watching the students year after year run faster and achieve more miles than the previous. Running club is a non-competitive way for the students to achieve personal goals.

Running Club will need of the following donations upon return to "normal":
- 15 or so shoe-sized reusable boxes with lids (like those used to organize photos - we will use them for color coordinating our ribbons)
- A “skinny” book shelf (for the Running Club closet)
- 1,000 dum dum suckers (used on incentive day)
- Charms from Fitness Finder (monetary donation might work best for this item)
